The Initial Consult and Exam Appointment

It is important to Dr. Maranon that each of his patients be well informed as to the alternatives, timing, and sequence of their dental implant reconstruction. At the consultation appointment, Dr. Maranon discusses with each patient their needs about their dental condition. At the consultation appointment Dr. Maranon will perform a thorough diagnostic examination. In addition to his clinical examination, Dr. Maranon will review your records and images. Additional images, and possibly 3D (cone beam CT) images, may be recommended. At this point, Dr. Maranon discusses treatment alternatives with the patient’s restorative dentist as he or she knows this patient the best.

After his examination and consultation, Dr. Maranon will develop surgical treatment planning options to suit each individual patient. He will recommend the treatment options that are best for each patient. Each patient will be given the opportunity to ask questions and to have them answered to their satisfaction. It is important to have other people that may be helpful in deciding on treatment options available at  consultation.
