Unlike higher exposure traditional medical spiral CT scanners, the imaging system in our office utilizes cone beam CT technology to obtain 3D images with a lower exposure to radiation. This state-of-the-art technology can help Dr. Maranon diagnose conditions more accurately and provide treatment with unprecedented confidence.

Through this cone beam technology, Dr. Maranon has the ability to view precise, crystal-clear digital images and anatomic detail to aid in treatment planning. This digital 3D imaging system also allows Dr. Maranon to choose the field of view, or scanning area, that best suits each patient’s individual needs. Many cone beam scanners only have the ability to take 3D images. The scanner technology in our office allows us to select a digital traditional two dimensional (2D) image or a 3D image. This helps to further limit exposure because we are specifically and appropriately selecting the type of image based on the type of image required and not based on the limitations of the machine. Our cone beam imaging system enables us to make a wider range of diagnoses and treatments in our office, helping to reduce costs and multiple visits and make your treatment safer.
