Financial Information

It is very important to us that patients understand the fees associated with their care. At the consultation appointment, the fees associated with care in our office will be openly discussed. Our office remains committed to helping you understand your options and maximizing any insurance benefits for covered procedures.

We also understand that some patients may require assistance in financing their care and we will help those patients with financing options. The Treatment Coordinator is available to answer any questions you may have about our fees and payment options. If you have questions regarding your care in our office, please contact us at Encino Oral Surgery Office Phone Number 818-990-5500.

Consultation Fees

Every patient has distinct needs and concerns. In order to individualize each patient’s care, Dr. Maranon performs a thorough evaluation prior to providing any treatment. All needed radiographs are reviewed or taken. Each patient’s diagnosis and planned treatment are discussed. Patients then receive information about preparing for surgery and instructions concerning their post-surgical care. Finally, the surgical appointment is scheduled at a time that is convenient for the patient and their family. You may expect to be in the office for 60–90 minutes for this first visit. In urgent situations, the examination is performed on the same day as surgery and you will be in the office longer.

Due to the amount of time the doctor and staff spend with each patient, we do charge a separate fee for the consultation, which is due on the day of the consultation. The office staff is available to provide you with this fee information: Encino Oral Surgery Office Phone Number 818-990-5500.

Treatment Fees and Payment Responsibility

In order to reduce our cost of care, the office tries to minimize billing costs. It is the responsibility of the patient or the patient’s responsible party for all charges incurred at the time of service, regardless of insurance coverage.

Payment Options and Arrangements

For patients who do not have insurance, payment in full is required on the day of your service. We will assist you with financial arrangements if needed.

We offer the flexibility of cash or check, and using Square, we accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

CareCredit is available to patients who wish to finance their care, providing interest-free payments for a short time period to qualified applicants. Patients may apply for CareCredit online or in the office prior to their appointment. To apply for CareCredit, click here.

Note: CareCredit is an independent company with no affiliation to the practice of George A. Maranon, D.D.S., M.D..

Please see below for Billing Information.

Insurance Assistance

For those patients with insurance, our staff works hand in hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. Whenever possible, we attempt to determine the availability of your insurance benefits before the consultation appointment. In order to accomplish this, patients may be asked for their insurance information when scheduling their consultation appointment. Patients should also bring all their insurance information with them to the consultation so that we can expedite reimbursement. We do not participate with any HMO or Medicare insurance plans.

Patients should note that health insurance is a contract between the patient and the insurance company. Patients are ultimately responsible for all fees and charges regardless of their insurance coverage.

Payment and Billing Information

We ask all patients to pay for the consultation appointment in full at the time of the initial appointment.  Insurance patients can pay for the remainder of the treatment in full as well, and we will bill the insurance company for you to be directly reimbursed.

It is important to remember that health insurance is considered a method of reimbursing the patient for fees paid to the doctor and is not a substitute for payment. Some companies pay fixed allowances for certain procedures and others pay a percentage of the fees. Knowing your individual plan(s) benefits, deductible, co-insurance or any fees not covered by your insurance company is very important.

Insurance Reimbursement

Our office staff is available to assist you in understanding your insurance benefits.  As a courtesy, we will file your insurance claims for you, provided that you supply us with complete and accurate information. Claims are filed by our office electronically to insurance carriers once the procedures are performed. If your insurance company does not process your claim within 60 days, we encourage you to check the status of your claim  with your insurance company.

Insurance Estimates and Pre-Determinations

The office may be able to obtain an estimate of available insurance benefits. Some insurance plans allow a pre-determination to be processed prior to treatment. These estimates usually require 2–4 weeks. Although typically not mandatory, your specific insurance plan may require a prior authorization. It is your responsibility to advise us of this at the consultation appointment in order for you to obtain your benefits.  Please contact our treatment coordinator if you would like assistance in this process: Encino Oral Surgery Office Phone Number 818-990-5500.

Medicare Patients

It is important to note that Medicare does not cover most dental procedures, including tooth extractions and dental implants. We are not Medicare providers and therefore any treatment performed in our office cannot be billed to Medicare or be reimbursed to the patient.  Patients are responsible for their fees at the time of service.

If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They can be reached by phone at Encino Oral Surgery Office Phone Number 818-990-5500.
